Wedding Simple Dresses

Wedding Simple Dresses
Before Queen Victoria set the trend with a white wedding gown way back in 1840, most brides wore their best dress, in any color, on their wedding day. In the years following Victoria ’s and Albert’s royal wedding, white came to symbolize purity—a tradition that prompted heated debate over whether encore brides could wear white for a second wedding.

Rising Phoenix Tattoos

Rising Phoenix Tattoos
I went to Rising Phoenix to get a name i had tattooed on my back covered up. The girl I talked to looked at what I want covered up (the name was written through a heart), and said the only way it could be covered up is if I had the ENTIRE tattoo covered up. She never even got up off her little stool, just told me it couldn't be done. I told her I just wanted a "design" over the name and her response was a VERY rude and belittling "what KIND of design" while she was laughing.

One of the most popular bird tattoos is the swallow. This bird was originally used by sailors; they could represent anything from a successfully completed journey, to a protection of their souls on unpredictable waters. Later, swallows become a kitschy image, and were used alongside things such as dice, nautical stars and musical notes. Today they are meant mostly as a symbol of freedom. They are usually seen in blues, yellows and reds; and are generally depicted in flight upon the shoulder blades, hands, hips or neck.

One of the earliest names of the Phoenix was Bennu. This word got ranslated by the Greeks. The took the word Bennu and matched it with the Greek word meaning red which was Phoenix. So we borrow from the Ancient Greeks in how we name the bird. There are extensive refferences throughout Greek history in art, tales, and mythological lore about the phoenix bird. According to the Greeks the Phoenix bird lived in Arabia next to a well.
